Black bean tamale

A special dish served in El Salvador for festive occasions, tamales derive their name from the ancient Mayan Nahuatl word tamalli. The main ingredient is corn flour masa, which is filled with a unique combination of ingredients, rolled and steamed. Served with a side of our aged curtido (pickled salad) and our house red salsa. All tamales are $3.50 per serving.
